XS4 2.0 controller: the best of SALTO in a control unit
Tuesday 22 December 2015
The new SALTO XS4 2.0 controller, when combined with an XS4 2.0 wall reader, provides an enhanced level of performance, functionality and flexibility for access control tasks in all types of installation.
Designed for easy installation, it is set up through SALTO ProAccess SPACE access management software and offers several substantial technological advances. It can be configured as 2 different doors or one door reader in and reader out locking, allowing management of up to 10 doors from a single IP address.
It also has an impressive arry of features including: 4 relay outputs, 6 inputs and 2 tampers, an antipass-back mode made available by connecting 2 wall readers and set up as one door, door monitoring and tamper monitoring via contacts input (intrusion alarm and door left opened alarm), and two wall reader connections. All data transfer between the controller and the wall reader and the controller and the server is encrypted.
Versions are available with or without housing boxes, enabling cabling to be kept neat and contained; and there is also an auxiliary version that does not require an IP address. This can be set up as an auxiliary controller connected to an XS4 online controller, or can work as an offline controller, reducing installation costs while keeping all the advantages of SALTO Data-on-Card technology.
The new XS4 2.0 controller joins the wide range of SALTO offline and online door controllers that enable the expansion of access control benefits to all those doors where a stand-alone electronic escutcheon or cylinder cannot be fitted, e.g. electric strikes, barriers, elevators, shutters, automatic door openers or gates.
